UC Cyber Risk Program Annual Report Spotlights Accomplishments and Goals

Since its inception in 2015, the UC Cyber Risk Program has emphasized the importance of building partnerships and creating opportunities for collaboration.

The Cyber-risk Coordination Center (C3) collaborates with UC locations to collect and share stories around cybersecurity and risk management accomplishments, initiatives, programs, and goals for its annual report.

The stories in the newly released 2022 report focus as much on people as technology, highlighting successes in education, collaboration, policy, and process.

Some highlights this year include articles about the Threat Detection and Identification (TDI) Program, a global accessibility and security panel held during Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and the Master of Information and Cybersecurity (MICS) program at UC Berkeley.

C3 also spoke with Ernesto Carrasco, Director of the Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) team at UCLA about Third Party Risk Management and UC Davis Professor Matt Bishop about guardrails for working with sensitive data.

To read these stories and more, visit the 2022 Cyber Risk Program Annual Report webpage.

And, if you are a member of the UC IT community and would like to share your story for the 2023 report, please reach out by emailing c3@ucop.edu.
