Mobility and the Modern Web Conference at UCLA – September 16-18

UCLA’s Mobility and the Modern Web Conference is all about mobile technology in the world we live in: mobile discovery, mobile friendly content, native mobile apps, mobile app publishing, the mobile friendly web, mobile data collection & analysis, citizen scientist projects, mobile learning, mobile everything!

The penetration of smart mobile devices is predicted to be greater than 80% by December 2015, and these devices are how most people touch the web. Peter Marx, the CTO of the City of Los Angeles will be the lead keynote and discuss the impact of mobile computing on cities of the future.

Kent Wada, UCLA’s Chief Privacy Officer, will discuss privacy and data with his “Feng shui for the Kinetic Internet” talk. Additionally, Jonathon Gluck of Heritage Provider Network will dive into “Crowd Sourcing Innovation via Public Contests using Big Data and Technology as Levers to Leap Forward.”  Finally, we will announce and present the awards to the winners of UCLA’s Code for the Mission App Competition.
