UC Tech Awards 2023: Applications and nominations now open

The application/nomination process for the UC Tech Awards is now open and The application/nomination process for the UC Tech Awards is now open through May 1, 2023Apply now or nominate a colleague by reviewing the UC Tech Awards Background and Application Form and completing the short application.

The UC Tech Awards Program celebrates individuals and teams in the UC tech community who have contributed in areas of strategic importance to the university. The UC IT Leadership Council created the program 22 years ago when an award for innovation was named after Larry L. Sautter. Today, the program has grown to seven awards (listed below). Winners of the 2023 UC Tech Awards Program will be announced at the UC Tech Conference at UC Berkeley on Tuesday, July 18. (See other key deadlines in the infographic, below).

2023 UC Tech Awards

The IT Leadership Council will award a gold and silver winner for each of the following awards. Winners are chosen based on the complexity, impact and mission alignment of the work completed by individuals or teams.

1. Larry L. Sautter Award for Innovation in Information Technology

2. DEI Leadership Award (For individuals only) NEW AWARD!

3. IT Security Award

4. Yvonne Tevis UC Collaboration Award

5. Mojgan A. Amini Operational Excellence Award

6. Design Award

7. Sustained Impact Award (For individuals only)

To apply or nominate a colleague or team for the UC Tech Awards Program, please submit a form by Monday, May 1st, 2023 at 5 p.m. You/your nominee will receive recognition for your/their professional achievements which will be shared with UC tech colleagues, including senior leaders, as well as the larger UC community.
