Register to attend the Labor and Automation in California Agriculture: Equity, Productivity & Resilience with Tom Harmon webinar on February 17 at 12 pm. Tom Harmon is a professor and director of the UC Merced Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the Sierra Nevada Research Institute.
This presentation will introduce an exciting new research effort by a team with participants from the UC Merced, Berkeley, Davis, and Riverside campuses and UC Agriculture and Natural Resources. Â California is an agriculturally rich state, yet its food system remains vulnerable to climate change, regulatory change, water availability, labor shortages, and unexpected disturbances. To create a sustainable agri-food system, a new model for agricultural technology (AgTech) is needed.
This webinar is part of the CITRIS Research Exchange Spring 2021 Seminar Series.
