Since establishment of the UC Zoom agreement last year, hundreds of departments, and even some entire campuses, have moved to Zoom. In this short time, Zoom use has grown to over 25,000 licenses UC wide.
As a result of the unprecedented growth in use, UC’s price for Zoom Education has recently decreased to only $8.99/host/year for unlimited video, web, and audio conferencing – representing a 90% discount for UC customers!
The Zoom project was led by UC Procurement Services’ IT Center of Excellence, but this great progress is the result of the hard work of numerous subject matter experts and key stakeholders UC wide (see below), and provides a great example of what UC can achieve when we work together.
If you’ve been waiting to sign up for Zoom, now is the time to take the plunge, you’ll be glad you did.
Access to a low-cost audio, web, and video conferencing service like Zoom enhances communication and collaboration with geographically dispersed colleagues. It also can eliminate or reduce travel costs to attend meetings in person.
Zoom may be used for the broadest possible range of UC use cases because the UC Zoom agreement includes the UC Appendix Data Security and Privacy, UC Appendix Business Associate, and UC Terms and Conditions of Purchase.
