By Jessica Hilt, Chair, Campus LISA and UCCSC, UC San Diego. Last year, Tom Andriola threw his support behind the growing tech community with his First-Timers Award at UCCSC. This year, we are offering a different award to reflect an aspect of the community that we think needs growing at UCCSC – research IT.
The University of California Office of the President is sponsoring IT employees from each UC campus and medical center who work in research IT to attend the UCCSC this year. If you work in research IT or know people who do, please complete the scholarship application.
- Entrance to the conference ($265)
- Two nights of on-campus housing in a shared room/shared apartment ($75/night) if you aren’t from San Diego.
Priority will be given to applicants on soft money. However, those who do not rely on soft money should still apply.
The deadline for applications is June 15.
Please spread the word and let me know if you have any questions! Visit the UCCSC website for more about the conference.
